Robert Westerdahl
Robert Westerdahl was a consultant with McKinsey & Company from 2007 to 2014. Projects Robert managed include the work on McKinsey’s latest version of the greenhouse gas abatement cost curve as well as the development of a strategy and implementation plan for a low- carbon transformation for a medium-size country.
Most recently, Robert led MTR Corporation’s expansion in the Nordic region in sustainable railway operations, as Nordic Business Development Director from 2014 to 2016. In this role, among other things, Robert led MTR to win the O&M contract for the Stockholm Commuter Trains, a 30 bn SEK franchise.
At Material Economics Robert leads projects related to a low-carbon transformation, to help our private and public sector clients capture sustainable impact in the current and future fast-moving and disruptive landscape.
Robert holds a M.Sc. in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Linköping Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
